JOSEFINE ATELIER

My name is Josefine, Danish/Swedish artist based in Copenhagen with my family and also working as a medical doctor for a living. I am interested in our surroundings, like the atmosphere, furniture, architecture, shapes, colors and material. Lately, I have had the time to explore my long gone creativity. I think every mother can agree on that having a child, makes you change. I certainly did, especially with child number two. I was at a point where I had to find a way to feel peace and harmony, in a very chaotic period. That's how my art was born. Most important, the creative process is relieving, fun and still necessary. I hope to accomplish something beautiful, as always inspired by wabi sabi, sustainable fabrics, and mother nature.

 

The handcrafted art are unique and tactile, carefully made from recycled paper and frames are handmade from pine wood. I am trying to explore the symbiosis between neutral earthy tones and the minimalistic Scandinavian style.

The artworks illustrates balance, calmness, and simplicity.
